Russell Peters new in 2008

I had the pleasure of attending the latestest and greatest of the "Anglo-Indian - Canadian" commedian, Russell Peters in NYC on February 1st. I wasn't really sure what I was in for but was pleasantly surprised to find that this was going to be a show of brand new material.
.
Most people that know of Russell Peters remember the act of a Chinese merchant that is trying to sell a bag to Russel Peters. The price started at $35 dollars and after a bit of bargaining the Chinese merchant brought his price down to $34.50. This bit was circulated amongst all races and most likely put Russell Peters on the map. I guess this was worth putting on a t-shirt as you can see above?
.
Russell Peter's new work utilizes the same basis of cracking jokes at different races along with others this time around. The new show includes, Arabs, Philipinos, Indians, Jamaicans, Chinese, Deaf, and the Mentally Disabled. He was definitley on with this new material and his improv work only enhances the value of seeing him live. He is a master of accents and will have you rolling.
.
The sad part were a few in the audience that wanted to hear the old material. A sole individual would occasionally scream out, "be a man", which came from the Chinese merchant bit. In the end I would imagine these individuals to be the same that ask a DJ to play the same song back to back?
.
According to the announcers, this live show is material for an up and coming DVD to be released in May 2008. Check it out once it releases, it is definitley worth it, at least more than his t-shirt designs.
